The Analyst Position:
The Clare Advisors Financial Analyst position offers a career opportunity for bright, motivated and mature individuals interested in joining a highly successful, entrepreneurial financial advisory specializing in middle market mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst serves as a key member of the “deal team,” working directly with managing directors and vice presidents on engagements. The analyst will gain in-depth transaction experience, significant responsibility, client exposure, negotiation skills, and an understanding of transaction structures. In most M&A assignments the analyst would perform and/or oversee the following functions: Prepare and participate in new business presentations; perform valuation analysis on privately held companies in the marketing, advertising and media industries; employ financial models to develop solutions to financial problems or to assess the financial, capital or valuation impact of business decisions; perform a variety of industry and company-level research; prepare and draft confidential offering memorandum and management presentations; coordinate due diligence processes between a variety of parties (legal, financial, internal); develop and maintain client relationships; advise clients on aspects of capitalization, such as amounts, sources, or timing; arrange financing of deals from sources such as financial institutions, agencies, or public or private companies; evaluate capital needs of clients and assess market conditions to inform structuring of financial packages; structure or negotiate deals, such as corporate mergers, sales, or acquisitions; financial modeling and analysis of potential transactions and valuation of privately-held companies.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a combination of the following qualifications: Familiarity and understanding of the advertising, marketing and media industry landscape (companies, service offerings, business models, etc.), Advanced MS Office (i.e. Excel) skills; strong undergraduate academic performance (3.60 GPA or better); eighteen months of investment banking or related experience required.
